Motorola has finally unveiled the first new smartphones to its line-up in 2016 by announcing the fourth generation of its popular budget handset, the Moto G. The Company has provided two variants to the table this year, the G4 and G4 Plus. The name suggests the G4 be a more important feature, however, the two combined have a design and form factor similar looking.
The Moto G4 Plus is launched at a price from Rs 13,499 for the 16GB variant (2GB RAM) and Rs 14,999 for the 32GB variant (3GB RAM). It will be available exclusively through Amazon from tonight. The Moto G4 Plus features a full HD 5.5-inch Gorilla Glass 3 protection. At the back there’s a 16MP camera with a fast auto-focus system and F / 2.2 aperture and an LED flash and a 5MP front camera for taking selfies. Inside there is a new Snapdragon 617 octa-core clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 405. It has a 16GB storage variant and a 32GB version with 2GB and 3GB of RAM, respectively. The G4 Plus also has a fingerprint sensor under the screen, making it the first smartphone brand to finally get this feature. On the front of the battery, we can expect a battery 3000 mAH.
The G4 also features a 5.5 inch screen with 1080p resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It gets almost the same hardware, including the Snapdragon processor 617 and 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage. G4 lack however the fingerprint sensor and also packs in a 13MP camera instead of 16MP unit on the G4 Plus. The camera has been improved to better handle low light conditions. Beware of space for our first impressions of the G4 Plus.
